Meandering on the path
that inevitably leads to darkness,
a girl blinded by the urge
to escape her dreadful, monotonous life
finds the key to open her colorless world.
She visits him every day after school
only to be beguiled into thinking
that he can heal her wounds.
His candy-coated words, gentle caresses
invoke a feeling she has never experienced.
She thinks she loves him.
He wants more
She trembles in fear.
He assures her that he loves her
and it will be be ok.
She surrenders to his pleading
Pillows stained with tears,
She cannot face the painful reality
He left her.
Standing on the edge of that bridge of death
She looks at the beautiful, diamond sparkling water
And jumps.

Wow, that's a very nice poem. Here
s a thought to improve it. If you're going for a bit of flow to the poem try making a rythm (sp?). That way most of them are the same length and what not. The words are very colorful. I guess that's what draws me in mostly on it. Nice picture too.
